It's wild out there
Working outdoors builds on my core training in arts psychotherapy. The symbol and metaphor in the work, instead of being held in a specific creative media, is exemplified in nature.
Some the first 'art' we made was created through exploratory play in the natural world, the world of mud pies and jumping in puddles. As adults, we may have lost touch with that child-like spontaneity. For children, there is a strong argument for locating the therapeutic experience in the outdoors.
I also run outdoor workshops, 'Transformational Spaces in Nature'. If you would like to try outdoor therapy, please contact me. I work in outdoor spaces ranging from gardens to heathland.
